USCIS provides additional guidance for passport information for beneficiaries of H-1B registration.

On February 2, 2024 DHS published a rule to improve H-1B registration, creating a beneficiary-centric process under which registrations will be selected by unique beneficiary rather than individual registration.  Beneficiaries will be required to provide valid passport or travel document information.

The passport must be unexpired and the same as the one intended for use to enter the US. It must be unexpired at registration, but if it expires after selection but before the application is filed, it must be entered on the application.
